Various Types of Liquid level Sensor

Liquid level sensor is a broad terminology which in general is used to measure the level of liquid substance such as oil, water, fuel and the like. There are many types of liquid sensor which usage varies on the type of industry that uses it.

The Ultrasonic liquid level sensor is ultrasonic-based level sensor having an advantage from other due to its ability to send as well as to receive. Mostly used in industrial and laboratory workstation. It uses vibrations to signal that certain liquid level has reached it alarming level. This vibration travels toward the piezoelectric crystal which turns off its voltage that is being monitored. It is also advantage from others because of its non-contact technique enabling a large number of measurements in a short period of time. The technique used in this type of liquid level sensor is based on acoustic reflections where at point of density, the polarity, ionic strength, color and capacity of the liquid is not affected.

Most companies manufacture liquid level sensor with the design which is in accordance of clients’ specifications without compromising the durability and sturdy construction of the sensors. Liquid level sensors are mostly designed for water sensors, diesel part cut, cold advance solenoid, engine oil level sensor and many others.

When it comes to its application most liquid level sensor are used for: oil sump and bilge pump monitoring, spa baths and hot tubs, tank and system level control, pump leaks, pump running and pump prime locations and printing machinery. Today, liquid level sensors are made digitally including variety of housings, termination and electrical outputs in the package.

For industrial purposes, liquid level sensor are used to measure: engine oil and coolant high/low levels, gear box oil levels, pump leak sensor, and cutting machines coolant level.  There are also liquid level sensors that are created to measure the level of solid state which are perfect in various applications like: vending machines, automotive, white goods, and hi/lo fluid application.

Liquid level sensor is made up of magnetic float that ends up near the magnetic sensor once a certain level is reached which allows you to receive that message through the use of signals.
